More Burglaries in La Costa Oaks

Good Afternoon Neighbors,Our neighborhood is still being targeted by burglars. In addition to the latest update below, there was an attempted burglary on Calle Conifera at approximately 11am this morning. They attempted to enter the residence by prying open a set of French doors in the courtyard of the home. The alarm apparently scared them off before anything was taken. La Costa Oaks NeighborsThe neighborhood watch is underway. We have spoken to a number of neighbors who are eager to get the watch up and running. Here are a couple of things to know about the neighborhood watch:1. It is not a guard duty, it is an organized method of communication to protect ourselves and our neighbors.2. Burglary on Corte Romero

This past Wednesday we had yet another break-in here in La Costa Oaks. This time it was on a new street that had not been previously hit.It happened on the 3500 block of Corte Romero in Stoneridge. The method used was similar to many of the other burglaries. The intruders used a patio chair to access a second-story window. Carlsbad City Council Meeting Regarding: La Costa Town Square

Tomorrow night, August 11th @ 6pm there will be a Carlsbad City Council meeting. One of the main topics for discussion will be a council vote on the new shopping center, La Costa Town Square, being built at the corner of Rancho Santa Fe & La Costa.
